Autumn is here, and you won’t find a better time to visit your favorite hiking trails.  This season offers outdoor enthusiasts a variety of unique opportunities.  The sweltering heat and humidity of those long summer months are gone, replaced by a drier, milder reprise before the frigid winter temperatures set in.  The trees and foilage are offering their most stunning colors as the bitter-sweet smell of falling leaves fills the air.

This particular autumn hiker plans to make this the most epic hiking season yet!  From atop mountain peaks to seaside lagoons, I plan to experience the most scenic hikes featuring lush fall foliage across several states.  I’ll begin my journey just as the leaves are starting to change and follow it right up until the last one has fallen.  With this blog, I hope to continue my goal of inspiring others to stop wishing and start living their lives during this special season.

Although a small blog now, my hope is to see “Autumn Hiker” grow significantly in both content and prominence as the season progresses.
